O governador Eduardo
Campos acaba de anunciar que aceitou a entrega do cargo do secretário de Defesa
Social de Pernambuco, Wilson Damázio. Damázio, homem forte do Governo Campos e
responsável pelo Pacto pela Vida, falou ao Jornal do Commercio sobre o abuso
sexual de policiais a jovens que vinham sendo acompanhadas há semanas, entre
elas, duas menores e chocou ao dizer: "Não sei por que mulher gosta tanto de farda."
Em seu lugar, entra o
atual secretário executivo da pasta, Alessandro Carvalho. Como Damázio, ele
também é delegado da Polícia Federal. Wilson Damázio está no Governo desde o
primeiro mandato de Eduardo Campos. Ele assumiu a pasta em abril de 2010 no lugar
de Servilho Paiva.
Eduardo aceitou a
carta entregue por Damázio na tarde desta quinta-feira (19) e elogiou a postura
do secretário ao pedir desculpas por meio de uma nota enviada à imprensa no início da tarde de hoje. Ele também
lamentou profundamente a sua saída. "Quem conhece Damázio sabe que
ele não tem esses valores", afirmou.
O governador
justificou que aceitou a renúncia de Damázio para que o episódio não interfira
nos bons resultados do Pacto pela Vida. "Não pensei duas vezes. O Pacto
pela Vida é o Pacto pela Vida. Eu não iria permitir que o Pacto pela Vida
virasse um palco de disputas que não desejamos", disse Campos.

a muitos que estranharam as declarações.. Os fatos falam mais do que as
palavras"

Eduardo Campos aceitou o pedido de exoneração do secretário de Defesa Social, Wilson
Damázio, apresentado depois que declarações a ele atribuídas em reportagem do
Jornal do Commercio motivaram críticas e cobranças. Ele se reuniu nesta
quinta-feira (19/12) com o secretário, agradeceu pelos bons serviços prestados
e designou o delegado federal Alessandro Carvalho para responder pela pasta.
Eduardo enfatizou que o Pacto pela Vida seguirá seu desenvolvimento pautado em
valores, "como politica de estado que é, acima de pessoas e acima de
governos".
