Com a saída dos vereadores Eduardo Cantarelli e Jadiel da penitenciária
Juiz Plácido de Souza, ontem, Caruaru agora vive uma situação inusitada.
Além dos 23 edis habituais, a casa também precisará arcar com o custo
dos dez suplentes que tomaram posse na semana passada, por força de
decisão judicial.
O salário, deduzido do valor repassado pela Prefeitura todo mês, terá que ser pago a todos.
O vereador Leonardo Chaves, que foi obrigado pela justiça a manter essa
situação, confirmou que não sabe ainda como fará para pagar os valores
sem infringir a lei de responsabilidade fiscal, não ultrapassando o teto
de 70% com gastos de pessoal. A solução pode ser demitir assessores.
Nesse caso, os suplentes ficarão sem ninguém trabalhando nos gabinetes.
O município pode esperar, se assim for, seis meses de uma Câmara vazia e
parada, sem condições de votar absolutamente nada. Mesmo havendo 33
pessoas na cidade que recebem salário de vereador.
