O secretário de Defesa Social, Wilson Damázio, informou, na
manhã desta quarta-feira, a prisão de um homem suspeito de ter atirado no
promotor do Ministério Público de Pernambuco (MPPE) Thiago Faria Soares. O
homem, identificado como Edmacyr Cruz Ubirajara, foi reconhecido pela noiva da
vítima, Mysheva Martins, que estava no carro do promotor, quando ele foi
emboscado e morto na manhã da segunda-feira passada.
O suspeito será apresentado esta manhã no auditório da
Secretaria de Defesa Social (SDS), no bairro de Santo Amaro, no Recife. Edmacyr
seria o cunhado do fazendeiro José Maria Pedro Rosendo Barbosa, apontado pela
polícia como mandante do crime e que continua foragido. Ainda de acordo com o
secretário, o crime também teria contado com a participação de mais três
atiradores, uma vez que a polícia trabalha com a hipótese de que quatro pessoas
estariam no carro que interceptou o veículo do promotor.
“O Edmacyr era alvo da operação desde início da investigação.
Ainda na segunda-feira conseguimos chegar até ele, mas ele conseguiu fugir. Na
tarde de ontem, o suspeito se apresentou à Delegacia de Águas Belas com um
advogado, mas acabou detido, uma vez que já havia um mandado de prisão expedido
por crime de roubo. Agora, já foi decretada a prisão temporária do suspeito e a
principal testemunha fez o reconhecimento fotográfico dele. O caso está
esclarecido. Todo o desenrolar da investigação leva a isso. O mandante já foi
identificado e teve o mandado de prisão expedido pela Justiça. Resta apenas
identificar outros co-participantes. O preso vai ser reinquerido para dar mais
detalhes sobre o caso”, detalhou Damázio, em entrevista à TV Clube.
O fazendeiro também é acusado de mandar matar, em 1990, o então
prefeito de Águas Belas, Hildebrando Albuquerque de Lima. O político saiu
ileso, mas dois dos quatro PMs que estavam com ele morreram.
